About Us
Hongmili China Lipid Patient Network is a patient-led peer support community founded in April 2020 by Ms. Nazhen Chen, a patient with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). Initially serving as a communication platform for FH patients to share research, treatment, and reimbursement policies, we have now evolved into a hub patient organization for inherited lipid disorders, expanding our support to include sitosterolemia, Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS), and elevated Lp(a).
We drive patient-perspective real-world evidence (RWE) through continuous patient registries, presenting the real-life experiences of our community to stakeholders. We conduct patient education and public awareness campaigns, support basic and clinical research via dedicated research funds, and actively engage in policy advocacy to accelerate drug approval and improve protection mechanisms. We are also active members of global FH and cardiovascular patient networks.
